So if I have the Mage slayer feat and 5 feet away from a caster and he casts a spell, does my reaction attack come before, simultaneous with or after the spell effects?My initial intuition is the reaction attack occurs simultaneously with the casting and prior to the effect, similar to counterspell which has the same trigger and happens before the spells effect takes place.

FBI releases tool to disrupt ransomware behind MGM cyberattack
A coalition of U.S. and European law enforcement agencies has disrupted a ransomware operation, one of the largest currently active, that uses malicious software to lock up victims’ computer networks and demand payment, according to the Justice Department.
The department said Tuesday that it was releasing a decryption tool to help victims free their computer systems from the malicious software used by the group.
The strain of software, called Alphv, was most famously tied to the September cyberattack against MGM Resorts.

A Florida jury sided with former wrestler Hulk Hogan on Monday, awarding him $25 million in punitive damages in his invasion of privacy lawsuit against Gawker Media. The award comes on top of the $115 million the jury already specified on Friday, bringing the total damages to $140 million.
The six-person jury assessed Gawker $15 million in punitive damages. The media company's publisher and CEO, Nick Denton, was slapped with an additional $10 million.

FDA advisory committee says common ingredient in some nasal decongestants does not work
On Tuesday, a U.S. Food and Drug Administration advisory committee voted unanimously that the oral formulation of a very common nasal decongestant, phenylephrine, is not effective. The decision could lead to this formulation of the drug being taken off the market, but the FDA says nothing has changed yet.
Phenylephrine is found in some forms of over-the-counter medications like Dayquil, Mucinex and Sudafed PE.
