New York State Trooper Killed After Responding To Domestic Dispute
A state police trooper and a 27-year-old woman were killed Sunday night as part of an apparent domestic violence incident in upstate New York.
Trooper Joel Davis was responding to a domestic violence incident in the town of Theresa in Jefferson County. Officials say 27-year-old Nichole Walters was found dead at the scene. A suspect — identified as active duty Army infantryman Justin Walters — is in custody.

Indiana allows taxpayers to correct certain property tax assessment mistakes using a Form 133 Petition for Correction of an Error. In Muir Woods, Inc. v. Marion County Assessor (June 18, 2015), the Indiana Tax Court held that Taxpayers could not use a Form 133 Petition to correct the assessments of their common area land. The opinion was a consolidation of five cases with identical issues. Taxpayers challenged their 2004 and 2005 assessments using Form 133 Petitions, claiming the assessments were illegal as a matter of law.
