Reiko appeared for the first time on American TV through Jack Paar's show where she was dressed in Japanese attire. She could not speak English and her husband was a translator for her on most of the shows.

The couple was quite entertaining to see on the show Tattletales, The Mike Douglas Show and He Said, She Said.
