Swedish Clothing Giant H&M Shutters Last Stores in Russia
Swedish fashion retailer H&M announced on Thursday that it had closed its last remaining stores in Russia and Belarus, wrapping up its progressive withdrawal from both countries due to the invasion of Ukraine.
After ceasing sales in Russia in March following Russian troops being ordered into Ukraine, H&M announced in July that it would withdraw from Russia at a cost of 2.1 billion Swedish kronor ($205 million).
"The H&M group’s operations in Russia and Belarus were wound up during the quarter, with the remaining stock being sold off and the last stores having closed on 30 November,"

SANTA FE, N.M. — As Virgin Orbit prepares to complete its merger with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), the launch provider has announced a series of partnerships and investments to diversify its business.
Shareholders in NextGen Acquisition Corp. II are scheduled to vote Dec. 28 on its merger with Virgin Orbit announced Aug. 23. Such votes are usually the final step in closing a SPAC deal, turning Virgin Orbit into a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq.

Car Bomb Kills Russia-Installed Official in Occupied Ukraine
A Russian-appointed official in southern Ukraine’s occupied city of Kherson was killed in an apparent car bomb attack, local authorities reported Friday.
Kherson’s so-called "military-civilian" administration told the state-run TASS news agency that one person died in a car explosion in a residential neighborhood in the early morning.
"Today, my friend, head of the department of family, youth and sports of the Kherson region, Dmitry Savluchenko, passed away," the Moscow-appointed deputy head of Kherson region, Kirill Stremousov, said on Telegram.
